Bill Wixey is an Emmy award-winning anchor with over 20 years of on-air experience. Currently an Anchor/ Reporter at KCPQ-TV in Seattle, Bill has proven himself an extraodinarily versatile and consistent performer.
Bill currently co-anchors Q13 Fox News at 9 and 10 pm on weekends. In addition, Bill anchors the weekend sportscasts and hosts special events as varied as Election night coverage and Seattle Seahawk postgame shows.
For five years, Bill co-anchored Q13 Fox News This Morning, a live, four hour morning show, and helped the show attain unprecedented ratings success.
A newsroom leader, Bill is a driving force for editorial content. He created his own consumer investigation franchise, Moneysafe, which exposes scams and ripoffs in the Puget Sound area. The series has grown to include what have come to be known as 'Recession Safe' stories, in which Bill seeks out expert advice for consumers to make the most of their money during these lean economic times.
Bill is also active on the web, creating three different pages for the Moneysafe franchise on Q13Fox.com. Bill also blogs and has developed an ardent following on Twitter and Facebook.
Before coming to KCPQ, Bill spent three years as an anchor at Fox Sports Net, serving as primary weekday anchor for both the Northwest Sports Report and the Detroit Sports Report. Along his broadcasting journey, Bill has also worked at KIRO-TV in Seattle, as well as Green Bay, Wisconsin, Fort Smith, Arkansas and Great Falls, Montana.
